The French Manon Costard, supported by the Lacanau Ski Club, wins the World Water Ski Championships.

From 13 to 18 August 2019, Malaysia hosted the World Water Ski Championships with the Jumping, Figures and of course the must-see Slalom events. A 6 buoy course, towed at 55km/h with a rope of less than 12 metres.

On Lake Putrajaya, it’s the French Manon Costard, who wins the much-awaited victory of the World Slalom Champion!

In front of the American favourite Regina Jaquess and the new Zealander Jaime Metcalfe… Manon fulfilled her dream by winning the gold medal for France, expected since 1973.

After dominating the qualifying rounds, Manon completed a 3 buoy course with a 10.75m rope in a decisive round after a draw with Regina Jaquess.

Congratulations Manon Costard !
